The Horton Internship Program continues to involve and challenge candidates with experiences that last a lifetime … experiences that can be leveraged in any work environment. Central to the program’s evolution is the input we receive from candidates, like you, to make it even better. At Horton, you will enjoy the opportunity to make a real difference, whether it is with the hands-on projects to which you are assigned, collaborating with and enhancing the output of other departments, or initiating a project of your own. The work you will do at Horton will be valued. Further, you will be given the latitude you need to develop, lead and thrive … but our counsel is never far away. You will also be exposed to a variety of personnel who will mentor you throughout your internship and enrich your experience that much more.

Past Intern Testimonials

“I really enjoyed my co-op experience as an applications engineer at Horton. Everyone I’ve met has been personable and friendly. The team has done a great job of providing me with challenging projects that enhance my technical skills, while being flexible and willing to help when needed. Working as an engineer at Horton offers a unique variety of duties ranging from hands on experience at the plants to writing a program that will benefit the company for years to come. As this was my first internship, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the knowledge, skills, and connections I’ve made through my time here have proven to make working for Horton worthwhile.”

“The opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals at Horton was very valuable. As a Human Resources Intern, I developed my knowledge in a variety of HR functions: Recruiting, Benefit Administration, Compensation, and Training. This internship experience helped me understand the responsibilities of a Human Resources Generalist, while also allowing me to discover a function that interests me the most.”

“Horton provides the ideal environment for an intern to grow their talents and general professional skills with support from a broad range of talented individuals. As an R&D Engineering Intern, if I ever didn’t know something, my coworkers were never hesitant to help, but they would encourage me to try and figure it out on my own first. This attitude forced me to learn by doing, which sharpened my problem-solving capabilities and developed me into a more well-rounded engineer.”
