New engine cooling system service video training library now available from Horton

August 13, 2020

ROSEVILLE, Minnesota  A comprehensive library of engine cooling system training videos for on-highway aftermarket dealers and distributors is now available from Horton.

Published on the company’s YouTube channel and hortonww.com/training, the videos tackle topics from general engine cooling knowledge to specific, step-by-step repair and replacement of different airflow components. Parts managers, service technicians and diesel mechanics can access the training content on demand and free of charge via Horton platforms, which will be updated continuously.

“In this day and age, service shops are inundated with mass amounts of information regarding hundreds of parts,” said Mat Stahl, Horton’s on-highway product manager. “Our video library makes it simple to learn or get a quick refresher on how engine cooling systems work, how to work with fans and fan drives, and why it’s important to ensure these components are a central part of dealer and distributor’s preventive maintenance program.”

Produced by BusyBoy Productions and featuring Twin Cities on-air talent Doug Sydney, the new series of videos includes the following installments:

Horton plans to add more content to the library in the coming weeks and months.

For decades, Horton’s dedicated team of representatives have visited service centers and industry events around North America to deliver the latest engine cooling information, insights and technology. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented challenges to in-person training, but the practice isn’t going anywhere long-term.

The company’s new video library serves as an on-demand complement to the training requested by trucking’s top parts experts and technicians.

“We strive to deliver a lot more than just a quality product,” Stahl said. “One of Horton’s main goals is to give customers the tools they need to be successful. Through video training, the men and women who keep the U.S.A, Canada and Mexico’s transportation industry on the road can do their job quicker and more efficiently, with a high-quality aid to guide them through the process – all from their laptop, smartphone or tablet, in the office or the service bay.”

OEMs can also add Horton’s content to their in-house training portals. Those interested can contact their Horton account manager or reach out to info@hortonww.com.
