HTEC fans help solve today's mining challenges

July 25, 2019

As mining equipment manufacturers look to produce cleaner, greener solutions, they’re turning toward the likes of Horton to help make changes that maximize efficiency -- including optimal engine cooling.

Such was the case when local Chile distributor Detroit SA sought a flexible package that could be tweaked when a new MTU engine goes into a vehicle. Horton’s durable, versatile HTEC fans provided the answer, providing improved airflow at high altitudes, increased performance and decreased noise.

Industry journalist Dan Gleeson outlines the case study in International Mining’s July 2019 edition as part of the widespread discussion around  new technologies and increased emission regulations causing seismic shifts in the mining category.

Horton and Detroit SA's partnership was also highlighted at Exponor 2019 in Antofagasta, Chile earlier this year.
