How a core exchange program can increase efficiency, decrease repair costs

March 2, 2021

You know the drill. A customer brings in a damaged part, and so begins the process of identifying the right replacement.

Every second spent on this means more downtime for your customer and longer turns inside you or the customer's service shop. But components cost money, so you often have to weigh price against practicality.

But what if you could achieve both?

Some suppliers offer core exchange programs for reman parts which are cheaper to begin with and provide a credit for central components of the part being replaced. This can speed up your time for repair AND keep costs to a minimum.

But not all core programs are created equal. In a recent webinar, aftermarket experts Dale Johnson and Mat Stahl to discussed the benefits of an effective core program and walked through how Horton's works as an example.
